“…his love of the challenge but also of the game, his obvious pleasure in meeting new people and discovering new issues, made Konrad easy to befriend.”

Claire Weill, Chargée de mission Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (Iddri)

My association with Konrad was very strong from a political and intellectual point of view. It was very immediate as well, as Konrad liked to focus directly on the core of things—a quality that I greatly appreciated. His culture, his capacity to speak several languages and his modesty, coupled with a very strong willingness to put forward his actions and ideas, his love of the challenge but also of the game, his obvious pleasure in meeting new people and discovering new issues, made Konrad easy to befriend. One evening in my home, in the company of Konrad, his wife Annabelle Winograd, one of my friends Clarisse Herrenschmidt, one of the major French intellectuals and my family, will stay inscribed in my memory as an outstanding moment. It allowed the meeting of three extremely quick intellectuals, involved with passion in clearing the way and pursuing new intellectual and political paths. Konrad greatly appreciated this exchange.

Back to all memories...
